Remote enables employers and instructors to deliver live vocational training directly to learners on their in-cell Socrates tablet, via secure video call. Sessions are scheduled and supervised by prison staff, reducing the need to manage prisoner movements while making it possible to provide more frequent, more varied learning. By reducing the logistical demands of coordinating in-person visits and classroom sessions, Remote opens up new opportunities for meaningful engagement between learners and prospective employers, creating a direct pathway from training to employment on release.
How It Works
A straightforward, supervised workflow that brings instructors and employers directly to the learner.
Tablet-based access
Learners join scheduled training sessions from the secure app on their Socrates tablet, within the facility and without any additional hardware.
